For years, BlueScope and Port Kembla have been welcoming students, giving them a firsthand look at their facilities and how they play a key role in Australia’s sustainability efforts. These tours are designed to inform, educate, and inspire students, showcasing the importance of this major manufacturing hub in the Illawarra.
Run by Inside Industry, a not-for-profit organization licensed by BlueScope, the Visitor Centre and Tour program offer fun and engaging educational experiences.

Tailored for students from kindergarten through to tertiary studies, bookings are available from Monday to Saturday by appointment.
Tour Arrangements
- Tours available on weekdays at flexible times.
- Steel Tours require students to wear covered non-slip shoes and long trousers, with all other Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) provided.
- Customisable tours tailored to suit all ages and abilities.
- Tours can be adapted to align with specific curriculum focuses and learning objectives
